Distinguished Service Award
This award is presented to alumni who, through their outstanding professional contributions and/or volunteer leadership, have significantly improved or enriched the lives of others and the welfare of humanity on a national or international scale, and/or whose consistent, exceptional, and meritorious service to the UIC College of Engineering has made a significant impact on the institution’s overall welfare and the advancement of its mission.
Nominees for the Outstanding Young Engineer Award must:
- Hold a degree from the UIC College of Engineering
- Be living at the time of nomination
- Demonstrate a high level of accomplishment in his/her area of study
Those not eligible:
- Previous recipients
- Current members of the UI Board of Trustees; the UIC Alumni Association Board of Directors; the Awards Selection Committee; and relatives of the outlined groups
Please explain, in detail, how your candidate fulfills the award criteria. A candidate may be nominated for more than one award category. The selection committee reserves the right to grant an award in a category other than the one in which the candidate has been nominated.
