John Hardin is an investor, business advisor and board director with an executive management career spanning 45 years in the global petroleum, petrochemical, specialty chemical, electronic materials and general manufacturing industries. Recently retired as the President and CEO of La-Co Industries based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, John has also held executive management positions at Laporte plc headquartered in London, UK and various business/technical management positions atUOP Honeywell earlier in his career. John currently serves as an Executive Advisor at Shorehill Capital in Chicago and has held several Advisory Board positions with various mid-market manufacturing and early-stage technology companies, having also served on the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Engineering Industrial Advisory Board from 2009 –2016. John earned his BS degree in Chemical Engineeringfrom the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1974 and an MBA fromthe University of Chicago Booth School of BusinessExecutive Program in 1986.
