About
Siham is a senior software engineer working on Google's data liberation team in Chicago. She leads the open source Data Transfer Project and the integration within the team's flagship product Google Takeout. Before working on data liberation, she worked on backend infrastructure for search and display ads at Google.
Siham holds a BS in computer science and is pursuing an MS in computer science, both from UIC. She actively mentors engineers and students, encouraging them to continue to explore the industry and field while also exploring hobbies outside of engineering. Her passion for diversity and inclusion within tech and studying technical equity is exemplified through her continuous work with Girls Who Code, WiCS and WIESP at UIC.
